In a dressing room at the festival four stand-up comics give as good as they get in a riot of one-liners, some at the expense of the disillusioned promoter and others at the expense of an enthusiastic novice. But when a glamorous TV researcher arrives, we find that all is not quite what it seems.

The first comic to start the trend of nominations from the free scene, returns to the Edinburgh Festival for his latest solo show. Imran has been enrapturing audiences up and down the UK with two successful tours and right across the world, from South Africa to South East Asia, even performing in Hindi during his stints in India’s exciting emerging comedy scene. Imran has proved himself as a comic with true international appeal thanks to his effortless cheeky charm and innate ability to engage with audiences right across the cultural spectrum.

winner of the first ever jongleurs competition and a seasoned regular on the circuit, susan has emerged as one of the best female stand-ups around. Her acting credits include starring in the tv comedy drama “love, lies and lipstick” for Carlton and Arthur Smith sings Leonard Cohen (Pleasance, Edinburgh festival)
Following writing and performing for BBC Radio 1 she received a writing bursary from the BBC. other projects include writing and performing a solo Edinburgh show happy hour and a recent 1 hour long show, 21st century fox (themed Solon's talking and not talking and it's that Jo Caufield (both radio 4). She has also started an all girl sketch troop flip the bird who are currently performing on the London circuit.
Matt Welcome is an established headline act on the UK comedy circuit with TV credits to his name that include 'LIVE AT JONGLEURS' (ITV).Matt took a couple of years out recently to 'find himself' and is now back performing, fresher and sharper than ever !!! He took a sell-out show called 'What you can do' to the EDINBURGH FESTIVAL in 1996 and became a favourite headline act at JONGLEURS comedy clubs around the country in the LATE 1990's.
Matt made his comeback in January 2003 after being persuaded to perform in a benefit at a local school by a friend.'It was a little strange but I got back in the groove very quickly...I did 45 minutes straight off, it was quite cathartic.'
Matt has dates already booked for top clubs in London,as well as gigs scheduled for regional Arts Centres and Comedy Clubs in the autumn.
is an exceedingly versatile actor, who particularly excels in character roles, whether comedic or dramatic. Recent work includes BBC's Silent Witness, Channel 4's Top Boy and a return to his regular role as Team Leader Frank London in CBBC's MI High. He's also a sought after presenter and comedian and regularly appears as a guest panellist on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff. He has also starred in Dalziel & Pascoe, Doctors, and Love Soup, as well as several television adverts for Domino's Pizza,Ford and Trebor mints.
Freeman trained at the East 15 Acting School. In addition to his work as an actor, Freeman appears with the London improvisational comedy group Shotgun Impro and is a resident MC at The Funny Side Comedy Clubs.
Becky Graham is from the North West though has lived in London for over 10 years. She trained at Liverpool Theatre School, The Academy and ISSA. Credits include commercials, such as Premier Inn, Argos and Cheeky Bingo. Becky has had TV roles including a recent C4 Documentary "Sexting Teacher" she has also just finished filming a feature film. She is part of all female comedy impro group "All Made Up".
earned his degree in acting before picking up two diplomas in Stage Management and Acting at The Court Theatre Training Company.
Martyn's acting credits include 'Forget Me Knot', 'Animal Farm', 'The Gallery'(Film), 'Strange Lands', 'Immaculate' 'Wolfpack: the Short Life of Jason Swift' and filming for the Police Bravery Awards 2011.
As Stage Manager and Producer he is credited for'As You Like It', 'Unity', 'The Rover', The Courtyard Comedy Festival 'Er & Im', 'Forget me Knot', 'Immaculate', 'The Hang Of The Gaol'.
Working with Dave Bourn they produce the annual festival 'ImproFestUK' and with Michael Buckster has founded That Thing is Comedy comedy clubs in London. He is also resident compere here and for The Funny Side ocmey clubs while also doing his own stand-up.
